Books
for Our Heroes Programs
October 2010
Author T. K. Marion announces the formation of his
"Books for Our Heroes" program. Marion's mission is to donate
copies of his three historical novels, The Principled Men, Kill the
Devil and East Wind, Rain to patients in military and VA hospitals.
T. K. Marion, in his own words, is an author who
"writes stories about Americans for Americans." His novels
range from World War II Europe, to the American Civil War and the Cold
War of the 1960's. He has consistently been recognized for his compelling
writing style combined with the authenticity of the period about which
he is writing.
Marion is also the founder of the non-profit Thirteen
Stars Foundation which awards scholarships to individuals with
Cystic Fibrosis. The Foundation is funded exclusively from the author's
royalties. In 2008, he expanded his outreach into the community with
Author for a Cause, an initiative in which he has raised funds
for various non-profit organizations, such as literacy, education, museums
and various military and VA charities.
With "Books for Our Heroes," Marion
envisions donating books nationwide to our troops and veterans currently
receiving inpatient care in our many medical facilities. His initial
efforts have been funded solely by the author, but corporations and
organizations who would like to co-sponsor the program are welcome.
Potential sponsors can contact the author through his website at www.tkmarion.
